He is the original Mobile Journalist, a creative, problem-solving innovator whose groundbreaking work in journalism won him countless awards and his ideas and inventions helped push mobile phone companies and app creators into designing the products we now all use for content creation.

In his time as a BBC News Correspondent, Nick has covered many of the world’s biggest stories - from wars to terrorist attacks and natural disasters - mostly working alone with just a phone and a (very big) battery pack to broadcast with.

Now he’s educating journalists and creators how to work better, cheaper and smarter.

He speaks at conferences and universities around the world and, through MediaMouth, is now making documentaries for BBC Radio 4 and other broadcasters.

He lives with his wife and children in Cheshire and spends his spare time writing and chasing after his dog, Lola.
